Prayer Net: Prayer works!
Learn more about the science of prayer and the Church of the Mountains “Prayer-Net” Prayer Works! If you have prayers you would like us to lift up to God pleasesubmit a Prayer Request.

Kids Can: We need your CRV recyclables each week! We are collecting the recycling to partner with TLPC (Truckee Lutheran Presbyterian Church) to send life and hope for the children of Tanzania and Zimbabwe. You can bring these donations any time and leave on the poarch of the Gethsemane House. Email Cathie at: comumc@sbcglobal.net with any questions.

Other Needs for our homeless & under-sheltered “neighbors”: We also have people every week who come into the church or Food Resource Support Center in need of: Gloves, Hats, Coats, Warm clothing layers, Tarps, Tents, Sleeping Bags, Peanut Butter, Canned Meats, Protein Snacks. All of these items can be left in the plastic bins downstairs or you can email to make other arrangements to drop off items comumc@sbcglobal.net

United For Action: This is a community group of faith communities & non-profits in the Tahoe Truckee area. We meet monthly with the goal to support on another to take care of the basic needs of our community members. This group was the force behind the Emergency Warming Center that is run from our church space. To be part of this group or find out how you can support this effort email: comumc@sbcglobal.net

On the months there are 5 weeks we serve on Tuesday from 9-Noon to serve breakfast and be present so that people can take a hot shower, connect to basic necessities use the laundry or have a warm, loving place to gather. We serve on Thursday 10-2pm providing a hot lunch and access to the other services.
